Public expenditure refers to Consolidated Public Sector expenditure. Private expenditure figures refer to private consumption for education in GDP.

Education as percentage of Gross Domestic Product
The public and private expenditure on education as percentage of Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Public expenditure refers to Consolidated Public Sector expenditure. Private expenditure figures refer to private consumption for education in GDP.
The population-related figures are compiled based on the population estimates under the "resident population" approach. Also, the Population By-census conducted in July to August 2006 provides a benchmark for revising the population estimates compiled since the 2001 Population Census.
