Female Post-Secondary school enrolment as percentage of males
The number of female post-secondary school enrolment as percentage of that of male.
Figures for 1981, 1986 and 1991 are calculated based on the data collected in 1981 and 1991 Census and 1986 By-census, showed in the table that depicts figures of persons studying full-time in school or educational institution by single year of age, sex and educational attainment. Figure for 1981 is based on the number of persons studying full-time in Post-secondary institution, Polytechnic/Technical Institute and University. Figures for 1986 and 1991 are based on the number of persons studying full-time degree or non-degree in tertiary educational institution.
Figures for 1996, 1997 and 1998 cover full-time courses run by the Shue Yan College, University Grants Committee-funded Institutions, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, sub-degree and technician courses run by the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education.
