操作定義
The percentage of elderly aged 60 and over who are members of Social Centre for the Elderly and Multi-service Centre for the Elderly.

All figures are collected from Social Welfare Department since 1986.
Figure for 1981 is not provided. All other figures refer to the position as at end of financial year, i.e., figure as at the end of March 1999 (for the financial year of 1998/99) is used for 1998.
Further to SWD (13Mar 2008), as from 1 April 2003, all Multi-service Centres for the elderly and more than half of the social centres for the elderly have been upgraded to District Elderly Community Centres and Neighbourhood Elderly Centres respectively so as to expand the centre-based services. Figures for 2004 onwards were collected on this basis.
