操作定義
The number of homeless persons per 100 000 population, based on mid-year estimate of population. Homeless persons refer to street sleepers counted in the Street Sleepers Registry.
備註
All figures are collected from Social Welfare Department since 1981. SWD has provided us with total number of street sleepers as at end of year.
According to SWD (13 Mar2009), as some of information on age are reported by the street sleepers without verification and given that the number of cases with unknown age is large for reasons including refusal of the street sleepers to disclose their personal particulars, inability of of the street sleepers to communicate with others, etc., the age information shown in the table may not reflect the actual age profile of street sleepers on the registry.
