The ratio of percentage of directly elected legco offices held by women to percentage of directly elected District Boards/Councils offices held by women. In 1997, due to political reason, the Legislative Council before the handover was dissolved. A Provisional Legislative Council was formed by the Central Chinese Government in July 1997. All the previously elected members boycotted the provisional legislative council by resigning from their positions in the Council. So, there was no elected member in 1997. No direct election before 1991 in Legco and therefore no data for 1991 and before.
